Love is a way of life....

NAMASTE Friends!

How are you finding the transition into Spring this long weekend?

Much as I have wanted the introversion of this winter, I do love the lifted feeling that this time of year represents....shifting into action.

I may not broadcast on social media much, and my newsletters are sporadic, however I love to support each of you in your unique way during our classes - my affirmation for the new year was indeed to approach everything from the starting point of love & compassion.

Many of us have felt the effects of national strikes due to some work being undervalued in our society; there is a huge amount of stress on very many people to make ends meet - I'm not going to say anything else trite as someone who lives a pretty easy life....

'Action' for me this weekend has been joyously simple - pottering in the garden, learning new music, allowing new ideas to arise, supporting my children with their developing lives, and most importantly, choosing to stay at home and not rush away into distractions....so grateful to have a home!

Everyone has their struggles and what can be useful when feeling conflicted, is to come back to love...

Who do you love, where do you feel loved, where can you offer love?

What can you find hope in each day?

What are you grateful for each day (coffee, a home?!)

None of this can be forced, but I find that a daily gratitude practise ALWAYS connects me back to love & compassion...for my family, work, and the world....

I was reminded of this by my piano teacher yesterday as I became frustrated and upset with my progress... "remember, what you've going for you is that you love this!"

Yoga & meditation practises remind me to feel grounded in my body, peaceful in my mind, open in my heart. On the note of love again, I will miss sharing yoga with you next Friday; there is no class as I am away with family and friends to celebrate my new sister in law :)

As ever, reach out with thoughts or questions (if you read this far, thank you!)

Love,

x Emily x
